Velon Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Velon may process to provide the application and website, how that information is protected, and the choices you have.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Information we may process
Velon may process the information required to provide its services. Depending on how you use the app, this can include:
- Account information (such as your name and email address)
- Authentication information used to sign you in
- Subscription / Premium entitlement information
- Workspace information you create (apps, websites, files and folders you configure)
- Launch history or usage statistics where the app supports them
- Technical information required to operate and secure the service
- Information you voluntarily provide when contacting support
We do not claim to collect information the application does not actually collect. If a feature is not enabled in your installation, the related information is not processed.
2. Authentication, sessions and Premium
Authentication and session information is used to keep you signed in and to provide account functionality such as loading your workspaces and settings. Premium entitlement is associated with your Velon account and is verified server-side.
Velon does not expose passwords or authentication secrets. Passwords are never presented to you in plaintext, and sensitive authentication or session data is protected using appropriate security mechanisms.
3. Third-party services
Some functionality relies on third-party providers that may process information on our behalf, where applicable:
- MongoDB / database infrastructure — storing account and workspace data
- Brevo — transactional email delivery (such as password reset messages)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — running the website and backend services
These providers are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Information security
Velon takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information, including where applicable:
- Secure authentication
- Password hashing
- Protected session information
- Server-side authorization checks
- Secure, time-limited password-reset tokens
- Limited internal access to sensitive information
- HTTPS for data in transit
No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not make such a claim. We work to reduce risk and to respond to issues responsibly.
5. Password reset privacy
When you request password recovery:
- Your email address may be used to send the reset message.
- A temporary password-reset token is generated.
- The reset token is time-limited.
- Reset tokens are single-use.
- The system does not reveal whether an email address belongs to an account.
Your existing password is never revealed during this process.
6. Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Velon services, maintain your account, provide Premium/licensing services, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information — for example access, correction, deletion, or making a privacy enquiry. The rights that apply depend on your local law.
To make a privacy request, contact us through the Support Center.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Velon evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
